Thanks Chris - I will ease myself back into the routine slowly and quietly- looking back I feel I lost a lot when I had to leave the club and its nice to see so many have progressed to very high levels and international success just hope some of it rubs of on to me - I will start by seeing if i can master this blog (from small beginnings etc )

Not sure if this is the right place to list this! No doubt when I am Veted????? I will be put right
Just thought I would introduce myself to those who do not know me. First picked up a camera xxxxx years ago and have had love affairs with photography off and on ever since. I have used all formats up to 5x7 (inches) I used range finders most of the time which I was introduced to in the Military. I have never had a speciality I just love making images and viewing others no matter the "how or whys". if I had to narrow it down black & white of any subject would be my preference. My real love was always with the darkroom. I moved over to Digital four years ago, not because I was biased towards film more that I always or nearly always printed 20x16 and said I would not change till I could afford to do the same digitally (I hate the A sizes) we are still are bound by 20x16 mounts and a super A3 on one looks naff as do all the other A sizes did we not have a voice from the RPS PAGB etc when we were conned into the A sizes ,we are tied to the A size now so why dont we have a mount board the size that looks proportional ( LCPU Reps please take note) or are we all to be destined to projected images. Me I have a A2 printer and can still make my beloved 20x16 even from the files off my old 20D. I am now back to Nikon which i used in the fifties through to the seventies but I miss the range finders I nearly went the Leica way but the price and problems put me off though I still think maybe I should have, weight of equipment is part of the equation as you get older. well thats my 2 pennies worth, comments most welcome.
